Some of the girls in my youth group and I all went to the lake this past week. We went to just get away and have a good time together. We left Wednesday morning at around ten o’clock and got to my lake house at around twelve o’clock. My brother and my dad had gone up the day before to clean the boats and make sure everything worked as it should.
When we got to the house Wednesday, we unloaded all of the cars and then got ready to go on the lake. We just decided to take our pontoon and kayaks out since we would only be out for a few hours. We all just floated and relaxed. Some of us got on our kayaks and kayaked around. It was a nice and relaxing afternoon on the lake.
When we got back to the house we all took showers and ate supper. At our lake house we have a zip line and some of us wanted to go outside and do it. I went first so the rest of the group could see what it was like. Then, this really funny girl got up there. As soon as she pushed off the ladder, she got scared and let go. She then face planted. We literally all died. It was the funniest thing that has happened all summer! After that, we went inside, played cards for a while, and then went to sleep.
The next morning, we got up and went out on the lake around eleven o’clock. This time we took our ski boat and tube. We probably tubed for two hours straight. It was so much fun. We all wiped out so hard. One time, the girl who had the zip line incident and another girl flipped the tube. My dad showed no mercy pulling us. After we went tubing we just floated around the pontoon for a few hours.
At the house that night we ordered pizza and just sat in the living room telling stories. All of our stomachs hurt from laughing so much. The next morning everyone got up and left.
Going to the lake with some of my friends in the youth group was so much fun. It was a trip I will never forget.
