Trent Told Me To Write This - Kim Wilson (14)

Trenton Kyle Patton. Words could not describe how awesome he really is, but I decided to give it a shot. Trent can play the guitar and also has a pretty awesome voice. He’s so talented, that he made it to the final round of Arkansas’ Got Talent. (AGT is something hosted at the church camp we go to.) He's so creative that he can write his own songs. His writing abilities really amaze me. One year I attempted writing songs and wrote a few, but they were always awful. Most of them ended up in the trash because I was so embarrassed of them. I did not want ANYONE to read them; they were that bad. So now, anytime I hear that someone can write their own songs, I am amazed. The fact that he has written eight songs blows my mind. I cannot understand how someone can be that creative. I think I'm just going to stick to writing. He can not only write songs, but he also writes poetry. I haven't had the privilege to read any, but I assume they are good too.
Not only is he really talented, but he actually manages to put up with my random conversations where I change the topic every five minutes. The conversation can start with Jesus, move to preachers who hold up my breakfast line when I'm trying to serve the food, then move to babies with angry eyebrows. (I really don't know how to explain the last part.) I also don't understand why anyone would actually want to text me because of how random I am. Anyways, despite how annoying I may be, and how many messages I send in a row, he still responds. He also doesn't judge me when I'm really aggravated and start ranting about everyone. My rant sessions can get really annoying, trust me. I don't understand how anyone could deal with them.
Trent also really loves God, which I also think is awesome. Many people are too afraid to show that they love God because they don't want their friends to make fun of them. Trent isn't one of those people. You can tell about his passion for the works of God by how he lives his life. He exemplifies his love for God in his words and actions. These are the things that make Trent a pretty awesome person. Even though he lives four hours away, he's still my favorite.

  1. When I first read the title I thought you were talking about Trent Anderson our youth pastor. I found it very odd that you would turn to him for help with ideas for your blog posts. When I actually started reading it I realized it was camp Trent. I feel pretty bad because I had totally forgot about him until just now. It's probably because I don't text him or anyone really. I can't wait to play more games of Mafia in the camper... I just realized that last year was Trent's last Sr. Camp. Just forget that last part. I agree Trent is a cool guy and was one of the better parts of camp.
