A couple of nights ago I was invited to a swim party at one of my good friends house. She lives in Leachville. It was mainly all girls, but there were a couple guys there. She told all of us to be there around 4 o'clock.
I packed my bag to get ready to leave, because she told us girls we could stay the night if we wanted. I just brought a change of clothes. I arrived at her house about 3:55pm, and got out of my car and went inside. She met me at the door. Honestly it was kind of awkward. I know the girl very well, but we used to be really good friends and we kind of lost touch. Now we are getting close again. I have not seen her in forever.
I walked inside her house and took my stuff to her room. I wasn't the first to arrive it was me and two other girls. It is always awkward when you go to something like this and there are people you don't really know, but it is always a good opportunity to make new friends. I did just that. they were all very nice.
We got our swimsuits on and we went out to the pool. Their pool was super pretty, it was a in ground pool and it had waterfalls and everything. The girls mom had a big table put up with food, drinks, and sweets on it. I'm glad she did because everyone knows swimming makes you super hungry. Well it does me.
We swam for a very long time. It was like 9 o'clock before we got out. Of course we did take breaks from swimming. Like at one point we rode the side by side for a little bit, and then we jumped on the trampoline.
I had a really good time, it was a lot of fun. While we were there we planned our next swim party. I can't wait to do it again. It makes me sad to think summer doesn't stay forever. Anyways, did you happen to go to any swim parties or anything this summer?
Swim parties are the best parties! No one can turn down a good swim party. I'm glad you had such a fun time. Is it just me or does food taste better after swimming? Sandwiches especially taste abundantly better. Maybe it's the mouth full of chlorine that helps. I haven't really figured it out. It's also really cool that you got to rekindle your relationship with your friend! It's sad when you lose touch with someone but you know it's a good friendship when it seems like y'all picked up where y'all left off. Can't wait to see you tomorrow! Love you kelly.
