Blogosphere: Episode 7- Robert Long

Welcome back to the Blogosphere with Robert! I'd like to start this episode off with a big thank you to the ones who've read my blogs. I know, some of these aren't the most intriguing nor that attention grabbing, so thank you for reading these. Now back to your regular scheduled program.
Today's episode will be about family. For some, this is an easy topic to throw things together, but for me, it's a little more complicated. Get ready for some deep talk and big boy personal topics.
My family hasn't ever been the type of family to sit around the dinner table and talk about our day. We very rarely get together in a single room and talk. We usually cover up that fact with some dumb excuse like being too busy or faking an illness; anything we could do to avoid the topic of being together at one time. I usually just sit in my room or go out with friends, my dad is usually at work, and my mother and sister just don't seem to get along. Again, I choose to use excuses but this time, it's the truth. I can honestly say, I've had a tough life, dealing with some things I wish I hadn't, but luckily, I was able to overcome most of my obstacles. The thing I wish I had more of was support from my family. Being a middle child hasn't made anything easy to get, but that's not necessarily what I'm trying to touch on. Throughout my whole life, I've always been the last to know everything in my family. If something was happening, I'd usually have to wait until the last minute to find out or find out via eavesdropping. The only exception has always been when something needed to be done. Even to this day, I'm still the only who can mow the yard or clean the house. The excuse they usually use against me is the good ole "you're not doing anything important anyway." Yeah, I'm not doing anything important in their eyes, but over half the time, I'm doing something that I find important. I'm expected to take care of their needs before I'm able to focus on what matters to me, and I truly hope some of you can relate. That's all I have for this episode of the Blogosphere with Robert. Thank you for reading!
