-----Grant Smith #3 WakeSurfing
If you read blog number one, then you know about my uncontrollable love for the lake and that red boat. One thing that boat can help me do is wakesurf. Wakesurfing is just like surfing, except it is behind a boat. The boat has to contain bags in the back of it to be filled with water for extra weight to push the boat down in the water forcing a big enough wave to surf on. A lot of work goes into wakesurfing but if you can make a big enough wave, you can surf for miles behind a boat. There is no need for all of that ocean garbage. As crazy as it sounds, it is extremely fun and easy to do. Wakesurfing is one of those things where you can take a couple of friends out on the lake and see who is the best at it. Of course, like most things, it requires balance and concentration. Not mentioning you have to stand up on the board to get started. Once you get used to the wave and your balance figured out, you can start to enjoy what it is really like to surf. Now if you're like me and you are a pro at it, you can do tricks. But I highly do not recommend unless you want the board to slip out from under you and drill you in your head. I'm not saying that has happened to me before or anything I'm just saying it could very well happen. I honestly wish everyone could try it because it is one of the coolest things to do during summer. I don't know how similar it is to actual surfing or not, but in wakesurfing there are no sharks... I think. If you make a list of what you want to do next summer, just make sure you write down wakesurfing because it is definitely a must do. If you don't have the things to wakesurf, well just hit me up and we can hang ten. Stay gnarly my dudes.
