-----Grant Smith #9 Got A New Baseball Glove

Baseball.Baseball.Baseball. The subject I've discussed in nearly three of my blogs so far. I just love it. Baseball is by far the best sport ever. Now with that being said, it has its expenses. Bats, helments, batting gloves, and gloves are all necessities for baseball. No matter what kind of baseball you play, you will always need a glove. Gloves are amazing. The fine glow of leather when you first get a brand new glove, and the smell of fresh leather that has been specifically made for catching fly balls are the best things about baseball gloves. They can come in many different sizes and makes. They can have all sorts of colors added to the leather and you can shape the leather however you like. The important thing about a glove, is that you feel comfortable with it and you know that you can make diving catches with it. These things are what made me have the desire to get a new glove this summer. At the beginning of summer, I got online and custom made a brand new glove for next season. Although convincing my parents to let me spend that kind of money on a glove was outrageous, I still fell in love with it. I made it the way I liked it and had maroon and grey on it. Who doesn't want to have a glove that is the same color as your school colors, am I right? I waited for this glove to come in for 9 weeks. These were the longest 9 weeks of my life. When it finally came in, I fell in love. I absolutely cared more about it than anything. I even think my dog Maxx worried if would ever give him attention again. I would literally walk around the house throwing whatever I could find in the air and try to catch it with my glove. I can not wait for baseball season to roll around because I am so excited to use my new glove. I guess I should put it down if I ever want to beat anyone in tennis this year though. I love tennis too. That reminds me, I want a maroon and grey tennis racket, but I think they are twice the price of a glove. :(
