Subway Life - Ava 9

In all honesty, I am so tired so these next few blogs might be rough. This is your warning. Viewer discretion is advised.
I started working at Subway 2 days ago.. The sandwich life isn't the most simplest thing. A lot of thought and time go into the sandwiches. For example, the bread is made fresh through out the day. Any time the workers aren't making sandwiches, they're probably back there making the bread, chopping veggies, or cleaning.
At Subway, you meet all sorts of different people and make all different kinds of sandwiches. I learned really quick if a customer says extra... you give them EXTRA. This man came into subway and ordered a ham on white with extra olives, extra lettuce, extra pickles, and extra mustard. Do you know how hard it was to close that sandwich? I almost dropped it in the floor.. It was one thicc sub.
So far the people I have worked with have been extremely kind and helpful. If I am having trouble doing a task, they will take the time to show me how to do it properly instead of watching me struggle which is a big stress reliever. For instance when I was cutting the bread, it wouldn't cut through. It kept getting caught and the bread ended up being tore to shreds. My manager then showed me that you have to angle the knife a certain way and cut it really face. I learned my lesson real quick lol.
The only thing that I would complain about Subway is that there is never a moment when you get to sit down. You're always doing something. If you aren't making a sub, you're cleaning, stocking, or prepping. I can't complain too much though. It's a fun job and something I'll probably stick with through the rest of my high school days.
If anyone is ever looking for a job, I would suggest Subway. You'll learn in about a couple days how everything works. It's a friendly environment and you get a discount on the food! Go get a sub at subway and yeah. Love you guys.
