number twelve
A week before school started back last year in August, my family and Austin wanted to go on a trip. My mom wanted to go to St. Louis, but I wasn't really feeling it. A few days before we actually began the trip, I suggested going to Destin, Florida instead. My mom was on board, so we told Austin that we had a change of plans. Three days later, we started off to Destin. After about 9 hours in the card we finally made it.
By the time we got there, it was dark so we just went to bed.
The next day, we went to Harborwalk Village and went to all the shops and things. Mom and I got henna tattoos.yruduu Austin wanted to go parasailing but I was too chicken to do it, so my dad went with him. I got to ride in the boat, though, which was fun to me. Then, me and austin went on a dolphin cruise and saw like three dolphins (booooring). At one point in the trip, we went to a restaurant called Fudpuckers. It's the coolest place ever, especially at night. You can sign your name on the walls, get henna tattoos, dance and they have a cool gift shop. The food was good too.
We went to the back a couple of times while in Destin. Austin yelled at me the whole time because I wouldn't get in the ocean. First of all, it's filled with sharks and dangerous sea creatures. Second of all, a pool is much cleaner and less sandy.
On the way back from Florida, we were like "Hey, we're basically almost in Alabama anyways, so let's stop by Gulf Shores." So, we drove to Gulf Shores and ate at The Hangout. Their food and gift shop were good too, but the best thing about this place was the view. We got to sit outside with a view of the ocean while we ate.
After we got done eating , we headed home. It took way longer to get back home than to get up there for some reason (we got lost a lot).
This was a really fun trip and I can't wait to go back.
