So far
I have written about everyone in my family except for my dad. So now it is his
turn. My dad is my biggest critic, my biggest supporter, and my biggest
motivator. He makes sure that I am taken care of, and he is definitely very
protective over me and my siblings.
If I
play bad in a basketball game, my dad always has to tell me. He tells me
everything I did wrong and how to fix it. This makes me really mad most of the
times because I usually already know what I did wrong and how to fix it. Even
though it usually gets on my nerves that he has to critique every move I make
in every possession, I always take his words to heart. On the other hand, he is
definitely my biggest supporter. When I play good, he lets me know. He is
always telling me how proud he is and that means so much to me.
My dad
is also my biggest motivator. He pushes me to do better than I ever thought I
could. I don’t know how many nights he has spent in the gym with me helping me
get better. He also pushes me to do my very best in school. Anything below an A
is not acceptable. He knows that I am capable of getting A’s and that is what
he expects.
I don’t
know how many times my dad has bought me lunch on days where the school food is
absolutely unbearable. I cannot thank him enough for that.
My dad
is very protective, especially over my sister and I. All three of us usually
have to be home by 11. My dad usually gets his point across to the guys that Natalie
and I have talked to. Sometimes his protectiveness can be annoying, but I know
that it is for the best.
Overall,
my dad is the best father I could ask for. He is an amazing and loving dad. He
is a great example of what it looks like to follow Christ. God has truly
blessed me with him.
