Sun and Moon (End) - Brittany Tucker (#22)

    Irma looked between the two entities, who stared at each other for a moment before meeting her gaze. “You’re sure you don’t want to do this?”
    Cyra nodded, “We’re sure. Can you do it?”
    “Yes. It’s not easy by any means, but it’s doable. I feel I must warn you though. If you’re absolutely sure, then you should also know that I can call you back at any time. And, you will no longer possess your immortality like you did before. That being said, you may possess some of your old powers, but it isn’t likely.” Irma turned to Cyra, “Milady, be prepared. You may not get visions or other things once you return.” Her gaze shifted to Sabir, “Milord, you may not be able to shadow travel if you go back. Are the two of you certain you wish this on yourselves anyway?”
    Sabir and Cyra nodded in sync, “I’m sure.”
    Irma gave them a peaceful smile, putting a hand on their heads, “I wish you luck, Slayer and Genevieve. May you live in a time of peace.”

    Slayer opened his eyes, seeing Genevieve in front of him, cuddled against his chest. He smiled, slowly wrapping an arm around her, mindful of her prolific abdomen, planting a soft kiss on her forehead.
    After a few moments of studying her, he decided to get up and begin his day. Slowly he untangled himself from her, making sure she remained asleep. He dressed himself in his usual workout attire and stepped outside onto their porch.
    He took a deep breath, breathing in the mountainy air before he took off in a sprint, beginning his training regimen.

    Genevieve awoke to the sound of the door opening. She slowly got up to see who it was, finding a sweat-covered Slayer breathing heavily while leaning on the couch. A gentle smile appeared on her face as he turned to her.
    Slayer grabbed a towel, wiping his face. “Good morning, Genny.”
    “Good morning, Slayer. Did you enjoy your workout?”
    “I did,” he gave her a lop-sided grin, hugging her briefly before letting her go, “I’m gonna go rinse off.”
    Genevieve managed a smile as she walked to the kitchen. “I’m gonna eat,” she looked down at her stomach, “What do we want today, hmm?”
* * * *
    Irma smiled as she looked down at Slayer and Genevieve. She could hardly believe a full two years had passed since they’d become humans again. “It doesn’t seem like any time has passed. The two of you’ve started a family together.” She couldn’t help but smile at the thought of their raising an infant. “As I said to your parents: May you live in a time of peace, little one.”

  1. Well I read the first part (though entirely misled by the title) (no like really I am slightly disappointed that this wasn't about like Solgaleo and Lunala) so I decided to finish the story. Overall, the story was well written and fun to read, but I do have one question. It is obvious Cyra (Genny) represents the moon and Sabir (Slayer) represents the moon, but what does Irma represent. Is she the eclipse and that's why she brings them together? That's what I thought at least. Harrison McCall #14
