blog five- makayla norvell

I don't miss Ms. Longs class unless I have to. I am not sure if  ‘scares me’ or ‘intimidates me’ would be the best phrase to use in this situation. By all means there is quite literally nothing on the planet thats scares me as much as Ms long. As someone who has owned a variety of the average fear inducing items among the populace it is hard to find something or someone that can make me change my entire schedule to fit around what she needs me to do on any given day. For example, if there is something that I need to finish for another class that would leak over into Ms Longs class, I would rather just come during my lunch period the next day rather than walk down to her classroom, and ask her if I could stay over somewhere else, it's just not something that you do. No one should be capable of doing that with full confidence unless they are doing something  for her specifically. And if there someone who can, please feel free to contact me as soon as possible and share exactly why you have a death wish, or have lost all your good common sense.

And know for the explanation on to why this is even being written down, and not hid away as some secret shame, so that she does not know she has this absolute law over my decisions. It is a generally unspoken rule among both students and staff that you do not do anything to mess with that class period unless you have no other choice (though I feel sorry for the 10th graders that find out the hard way). So I am just expressing something already known to the bourgeoisie in the form of fully accessible text. Another reason to add to this is the fact that missing any lessons can leave you with a huge chunk of missing information that would  have seriously helped you out the next day, like the fact that nobody told that the homework was to read antigone and you come to class the next day why everyone is talking about incest in class the next day… but that’s beside the point. So the moral of the story is that its just easier for everyone if you reschedule your paper mache duck for lunch instead of her class, since im sure antigone is more important than newspaper waterfowl.

  1. Honestly, I cannot stop laughing right now. I don't even know how I am typing words and it make sense. I relate to this so much. However, I think it is more that I want to stay on her good side than anything. And at times, she is very intimidating. And sometimes, she does scare me. Especially when she is mad. But, I worry more about staying on her good side. I love Mrs. Long so much, though. She is hilarious and is really nice at times like when she let me enter the class late. But, she can be scary too. -Heavyn Hadl
