blog four makyla norvell

  1. In a last ditch attempt at picking a career, i decided to follow in the footsteps of my favorite teacher in the school, ms.teel. I’ve always said that i refuse to work a job where every day i wake up and everything that happens is the same thing. The only way i feel that i can do something i would enjoy and not know what the next day would bring is to become a biologist. Well, a marine biology more specifically. I would be lying if i said that i haven’t wanted to go back to the coast every day since my family moved to arkansas. actually that is one of the main reasons that i want to become a marine biologist. I could spend hours or even days out on the ocean, looking at all the wildlife and the habitats held in the ocean. Over ninety-five percent of the earth’s oceans are unexplored, so that alone offers the promise of continual work and an endless outpour of new information to process and observe. To add to that, i'm a thrill seeker, and i want nothing more than to work a job where what your doing carries a hint of danger. I would love to study sharks and their migratory patterns through the oceans. Everything about them is so interesting and, arguably more important, terrifying. As i said before, never a dull day or moment if i want to keep myself interested.
