Bodies . . .
Most of my family has gone into the medical field. The only ones who haven't are my dad's brothers. The rest of them are at least nurses. In fact, I don't think any of them are doctors; they're all nurses.
Well, last night, I was talking with my parents and listening to them talk about their day at work, and the patients they take of care of and stuff. They never reveal any names, but take the time to explain things on my level. I brought up something I hadn't really thought about (but because of my lack of a filter, said it anyway).
I thought people in big cities like New York, and other places were used to seeing dead bodies. My parents stopped me, asking why I thought that.
"I don't know," I reply with a shrug.
As stated earlier, my parents are nurses, and are used to seeing people. It comes with the territory. They didn't understand why I thought that, and at the time, I didn't either. Now, I know. It's because when I think of large cities, I think of gangs and killing, and all the bad stuff that's glorified on TV nowadays (that really shouldn't be glorified). That's kinda bad.
This world is too violent, and spiteful. Humans need to learn to be kind again, like us small town folk. I'm not trying to say we're prefect; we have our faults too. But, we don't kill people for the fun of it. Everyone is faulted, and some have more than most, but I don't think that's a good reason for murder.
We're not babies anymore.
We're humans.
We should know better than to kill our own kind.
If we don't know how to not murder, someone needs to teach us. It can't be that hard, right? Instead of giving in to your anger, just turn around, or count of ten, and don't attack people. If they attack you, fight back, but don't kill them. Just... y'know... knock 'em out or something...
I obviously can't give good advice, but I think the world needs to be more positive-minded. It would be an easy feat if only the media didn't dramatize everything. But, because they do, it's hard to avoid becoming paranoid and scared of the world.
But that's okay. Everyone needs a healthy dose of fear once in a while.
Brittany, I agree with you on a lot of that. The world is so cruel now days. People think it is okay to kill who ever whenever they want. And for the dumbest reasons. I do not agree with that. I think people do need to start being kind again. I don't see how the world has become so cruel in this generation. And you are definitely right, That kind of stuff should not be glorified on television. It shouldn't be on television to begin with because it's just showing people that it is okay, when clearly it isn't...or at least it shouldn't be. -Ambria Curtis
