Blog Post #5 - Lotti

Sooo, I’m currently on a plane!!! It’s my first time ever so that’s crazy exciting for me. But I decided I would go ahead and work on my blogs some more because I’m a big procrastinator! This blog I’m going to talk about having your own opinions! It’s so easy to get caught up in what everyone else has to say about you or someone you know & to believe that; but I think it’s important to have your own opinion of someone based on your experiences and not other peoples. I see people all the time saying “she’s so snobby,” or “shes so full of herself,” when in reality a lot of people aren’t actually like that! Rumors come and go like flies on honey, especially in high school but it’s so important to have your own thoughts. I know a lot of people, (including myself) who have not liked or talked about someone just because a friend didn’t like them. That’s ridiculous, there are so many reasons for “not liking” someone and most of the time they’re incompetent. I decided starting this summer I was going to base everyone off of what I think & not what other people think. Just because people you and I know think some people at school are “weird” or others “think they’re better than everyone else,” doesn’t mean those kids are truly that way. I have made new friends this summer who I have judged in the past because of other people’s opinions and I was totally wrong. The girl I thought was a goody goody and stuck up actually turned out to be a great friend and secret keeper! I realized that I often judge people by their looks and what other people have to say about them. When I thought about why I was doing this, all I could think about was.. “well everyone else thinks that too,” or “this person said that and he said this.” My mindset was so wrong & inconsiderate. Life is WAY too short to judge people before we get to know them. We could all be missing out on a great friendship or any kind of relationship all because we get caught up in the moment. So to end blog number five, I learned this summer that you have to have your own mind. I’m going to chose to see the best in people and to only view people for who they show ME they are. I hope this helps me in becoming a more positive person and a better influence to my peers.

Peace out blog #5

  1. my mom is so scared of planes but she wants to go on a cruise! how crazy! i mean we’re just as likely to hit an iceberg on the boat than we are to crash in a plane, which i hope you don’t. plus, she you seen the prices for a cruise? i mean i know flights are very expensive but a cruise is very very VERY expensive! i’ve been saving money up for it though. maybe one day when i’m rich and famous i can jut buy a boat, and cruise whenever i please to! that’d be pretty cool. any wait until i’m really successful and rich and famous and all of the fun things. but until then, i’m still poor trying to make a living by working at sonic getting paid only $6 an hour but hey, it’s definitely better than nothing!
