My Story Part 2 Harrison McCall #6

This is a recent story in my life that I just want to share because there is a certain power in the testimony of the miracles of God. So as I said in part one I go to the Arkansas' Children's Hospital every year for a check-up. Every however many years I have an EKG, or MRI or ultrasound of my heart, or some years just go there and talk for a bit. Well, last year I was due for an ultrasound of my heart. And at that time, for as far back as I could remember I had never heard a negative word from the doctor about my heart condition. However, that all changed last year. After the ultrasound, it turned out that I had and aneurysm in my ascending aorta, which was currently at 45mm. In the pictures below you can see the doctor's rendering of my heart at the time compared to what it should look like, and the reason there is a circled 50 is because at 50mm is where surgery would have to happen.

This was the first time in my life I had heard that word, surgery, even mentioned. Now on average, an aneurysm of that kind expands on average of about 5mm a year. So it wasn't an immediate issue but was still very serious. Before we had even left the room that day I had looked my parents in the eyes and said "It's all going to be alright," because I knew that I served a God who has never failed me, and what he has done before he can do again. Time went on and an MRI was planned to try and get a clearer picture of my heart. In between the ultrasound and MRI a lot happened. One thing that happened, and I will never forget, was NAYC. Which is a national youth convention for the youth of the United Pentecostal Church International. On one of the nights every single person in the OKC Thunder Dome (which is where NAYC was held) was given a little white prayer cloth. On that night there was such a spirit of God that swept over that place and I remember taking that anointed cloth and pressing to my chest and raising my other hand up to God, and to be honest I can't really describe to you what happened next because the next thing I knew I was lost in the holy ghost and however many minutes later just standing there amongst all the shouting and commotion in complete peace and calmness. I walked out of that building that night with the confirmation of my constantly repeated declaration that I was going to be OK, and I wasn't going to have surgery. Turns out we went back for the MRI and my aneurysm, which aneurysms don't shrink, had gone down to 38mm somehow. Now here's the kicker. I took the MRI on a Friday, the following Sunday my mom fell at an altar and prayed that there doesn't need to be a full healing, just a little bit, and she prayed for a certain number. That number was 38. The MRI was taken on a Friday, 38 prayed for on a Sunday, and on a Tuesday my ascending aorta was 38mm in size, as you can see in the final picture. That's my story and I just wanted to share of the goodness of my Lord and my God, Jesus Christ.

  1. You have also told me this story and it is a showing of one of Gods many miracles that He has placed on his children. I hope that the problem continues to stay at bay, but if some sort of problem does come up. remember God does everything for a reason, the devil might try to take you with temptation at times like these. But if you continue to turn to God everything will turn out like he plans. Keep up the great writing and have a great school year.
