I don't play any sports anymore, but I used to all the time.
One time, I played tennis for a summer and even went to tennis camp, but I was not good at it, like at all, so I gave up.
I played basketball for a few years. The first year was with the YMCA. I remember Hattie and Sam and Landon being on my team. I sat the bench most of the time, which was understandable because I had no interest in what was going on. Then, I played for the school for a while. I got tendinitis in my knee in sixth grade I think, and it was so bad I couldn't lift my leg up or run. I played again in seventh grade, and I hated every minute of it. My teammates were awesome and all, but I just wasn't into it. I quit after the games were over that year (which I got a bunch of crap for but the season was over, so why did it matter?). Anywho, that was the last year I played basketball and I don't think I miss it one bit, honestly.
My all time favorite sport I played was softball. I played softball from t-ball to 14 & under. I always played first base. I liked it, it was easy. My favorite part of softball was the tournaments. I loved getting to the fields early and playing game after game all day long. Don't get me wrong, it was tiring but I was doing what I loved to do, so it was okay. I remember this one time (the season we were undefeated), we were at a tournament and our coach (I think it was Steve Chamness at the time) got kicked out because he threw his glove down when he got mad. It was the funniest thing ever.
Anyways, the moral of this story is that I used to play sports but now I don't. The only one I miss is softball and would probably go back to it.

  1. I used to absolutely love playing YMCA basketball with you, Sam, Landon, Canon, and the rest of the people. It was always so much fun, even though we were terrible. I also remember playing basketball with you in elementary and 7th grade. Our teammates always got in trouble for fighting that year, lol. Softball was always pretty fun, too. We used to win every tournament when we played on the Fireballs. You would play first, Sam was catcher, and I played short stop. Somedays I wish that I would have kept playing with you guys. Anyways, those were the good ole days. -Hattie
