This summer, I have been on the move every day of the week. From traveling for basketball to family trips, i feel like i haven’t been home for more than three days at a time. Though i have been really enjoying this summer. The only downside of being on the go constantly is that I haven’t been to Riverbend as much as I want to. Riverbend has always been my favorite summer get away spot since I was a little kid. When I was younger I would go there almost every weekend with my grandparents, and sometimes I would for a week or two. I love the place so much. My favorite thing to do when I’m there is floating the Spring river. We would put our floats in on this bridge past the park and float to either the boat dock or park, it depends on how burnt or hungry we are. At Riverbend there really isn’t much to do besides floating and riding around on atvs, but when you’re with the right people it’s the best time of your life. There are a few of my friends who have places at the park too, so I hang out with them, though usually I bring a friend with me. The bad thing about going to Riverbend is that no matter what time I go to sleep, i’m always up at nine in the morning because that’s when Debbie cooks breakfast, and you can’t miss breakfast bc it will probably be the last time you eat until 5 P.M.. I mean you could grab lunch around noon but when we’re at riverbend, you’re constantly on the go. Riverbend will always be my second home. I have made memories there that will last me a life time. I can not wait for the days when I will be able to get my own place at the park and take my kids and eventually their kids to the park. I will be so happy to see my kids grow up and make memories in my childhood summmer get away.
