Hailey’s blog #6

Since my summer trips to the lake are basically over, I figured I would use that as a topic for this blog. So, I have went to the lake about five times this summer. I usually go down Friday and come back Sunday and I have the best time ever with my family. We usually jam out to all kinds of music during the drive and Hayden is usually controlling the aux. Which means the music usually consists hardcore rap, regular rap, pop, hip hop, country, and super old country. I believe his favorite song to play is Africa, because no one else really likes it. Anyway, we usually spend the whole Saturday on the lake and swim until we can’t swim anymore. Then we go back to the camper and take showers, while my dad and brother cook on the grill. After we eat, we stay up and play uno. I usually win and then everyone claims that I cheated. We usually play games until around one or two in the morning, then we go to sleep. After my mother wakes us all up, we go back on the water and stay till around noon. Then we put the boat on the trailer, take showers, pick up and lock the trailer, and head home. Usually on the way home, my brother brags about how tan he got and makes fun of me because I still look like a ghost. Then, my mom steps on and tells him that it isn’t my fault that I can’t tan. This is like a tradition, because every time we come back from the lake it happens. After that reoccurring conversation, we usually jam out to all kinds of music and make more memories as a family.
