P.s.- I didn’t run over anybody. I just barely hit them.

Lexi b’s blog #7
Happy day after July 4th! I hope everyone had a spectacular Independence Day (even considering it felt like Satan’s armpit outside). My family shot off fireworks on the 3rd, because my dad didn’t wanr to be up too late yesterday. I didn’t want to get eaten alive by mosquitos, so I wore jeans. I sprayed almost an entire can of “Deep Woods Off” on my exposed skin. However, the mosquitoes were still awful and bit me through my jeans. Also, my jeans made it 100x hotter. I spent my actual Fourth of July swimming, hanging with family friends, and watching the Caraway fireworks. My dad, who is extremely terrified of water, actually got in the deep end! He gripped the ladder for dear life, though. This story will go on my list of my favorite Fourth of July stories. My favorite story is one my dad told me. He used to be a paramedic in Blytheville. One Independence Day, a guy thought it would be funny to shoot Roman Candles at traffic. Well, one of these cars had its windows down. The Roman Candle went inside the car and blew up. It didn’t hurt the driver, but it sure did make him angry. He drove through the grass and chased the guy with the fireworks across the yard. The driver sped up and hit the other guy. Firework boy ended up with two broken legs. I think that was the last time he would shoot fireworks at cars. So, if you’re the type of person who thinks shooting fireworks at others is funny (which I hope y’all aren’t), just remember you can not out run cars. Also, I do not condone running over others with your car (even though I’ve done this before haha). Just call the police or file a lawsuit for the damages. I think you’d much rather get money out of someone else’s ignorance. Until I make my next blog and give y’all life advice, stay safe! Wear your seatbelts and put on your sunscreen! Also, don’t shoot fireworks at others!

I’m glad that you had a good Fourth of July and that you made some good memories. I never knew Andrew was afraid of water, but it’s good he finally got in with you. I swear your dad has the best and the craziest stories. I can only imagine your dad’s reaction. My family had our own incident with fireworks, but we won’t talk about that. Oh, and that is great advice at the end. Why not just go ahead and get some money out of the incident. Anyway, I’m glad you made some amazing memories and had a good time. -Hailey
