Gage blog 3

so this week we’ve been having basketball camp at marmaduke. Let me just tell ya. I’m out of shape. We play 2 20 minute half’s and that’s about all this little white boy can take. I constantly look up at the clock to see how much longer I got to try to make it. But it’s pretty fun. We’re getting a lot better and we’re working together better. Yesterday we played marmaduke and we almost beat them but they got us by like 3, and we beat mammoth springs by 3. Today we played rector and cra. Rector is really stout and they’ve been playing all summer long and they beat us by 10. They’re pretty good. Cra is about the same as us. We had them down 5 with a minute left, and apparently a couple of us don’t know what layups and free throws is. But oh well. They got us by 1 they hit 2 threes to win it. I guess we’ll have to get them next time. Tomorrow we play Blytheville and tuckerman. Both of them are really good. Blytheville is 4a playing all of us 2a schools, and on top of that they don’t just fit in exactly if you know what I mean. But oh well guess we’re gonna give it all we got and see how we compare. Camp has taught me this year how to work hard, and I’m making myself a better player because I am working harder than I ever have before. .
