Blog #6 - Grace Anne

Alright I’m getting really tired of these to be honest. Whatever okay so I had to get up real early this morning to drive to take my grandpa to the doctor, and usually it wouldn’t be a problem. However this made me get up at 4:30 to drive there. Anyway I woke up at 3 so you can prolly guess what happened... I didn’t go back to sleep. So I just grabbed some coffee turned on the porch light and sat there. It was so quiet and nice then Ava decided to crash my party. She said she couldn’t sleep either and so we sat and talked for about an hour in the dark outside on the porch at about 3:30 in the morning. We talked about a lot but the one thing that stuck out to me was how she said she didn’t want to go back to school.. I was just like girl same cause I thought she was joking, but she wasn’t. She said she was scared that she wasn’t smart enough, that she wouldn’t like it, and she was worried about what she would do if she wasn’t able to get on the basketball team since she’s in the fourth grade now. I was like dang... so at 3:30a.m this is a little reminder that I have her Incase someone here needs it. You are always smarter than what you think you are. If I would’ve believed that same thought I had I would’ve made it past kindergarten. I told her that school is 8hrs and you get to learn new things and learn how to deal with crap from people that you might not deserve. It makes you stronger than you already are. Grades don’t define you, a piece of paper or person can’t determ your worth. As for basketball you’re always welcome on my team and you can be as good as hard as you work. Final thing I said as I got up to leave is you’re not alone no matter what I’m here. So if anyone reading this needs someone I’m usually free, I can’t promise any good advise but I’m here that’s what matters. This was supppper long but whatever just throwing in out there. See ya later dudes.                -Grace Anne

  1. Haha that sounds so hectic! My family is the same way, bean always crashes my party as well. It’s crazy to think how old we are now and we are able to give our sisters advice. Like I remember being 10 a week ago! I used to think high schoolers would be so cool and they were the top dogs. Not true at all!!! We are so lame and nothing like I thought. Haha! Ava is so sweet. You’re lucky to have a good sister and to be one! You’ll be giving advice forever now. -Lotts
