I’m currently sitting in Centeal Park enjoying looking at the pond while people drive remote control sail boats through it. We got here yesterday at 4:30 and we haven’t stopped site seeing. Last night we met some friends up here and went and enjoyed dinner on the pier. We ate right across from the Statue of Liberty. It was absolutely gorgeous, it was all lit up and you could see it miles across the ocean. We went to The Met this morning and looked at all different kinds of art from all around the world. It's so beautiful just sitting here in Central Park watching everything go on. We have seen a lot of groups walking through the park. The friends we met here take the subway and ride bikes to work. We purchased a Metro Card for the week so that we can take the subway almost everywhere. People from all kinds of nationalities are here. Most of everything we’ve seen, we’ve seen in movies before which is really cool. There are so many cute dogs here! There’s a battleship going around the pond right now with a train of rubber ducks behind it. One thing about this city is you never know what you may see. Last night it was 11:30 and the streets were still packed full with cars going in every direction.
Central Park is miles wide, it’s absolutely insane how big this park is! Riding the subway has been a really fun experience. I love hopping on and riding and then getting odd at whatever stop. Food vendors are on every corner. They anywhere from hotdogs and pretzels to lamb on rice. There is definitely a variety in food and things to do here. The buildings that line the streets are absolutely gorgeous, from the architecture to the window panes. New York has definitely not disappointed yet. The weather is amazing, there is a constant breeze that keeps you the right temperature. We’re anout to grab some lunch sometwhere, so I’m going to wrap up because the drivers are crazy here and I’ll get hit by a car.
I haven't been to New York but this past weekend I went to Kentucky. I got to watch my first NASCAR race in person. It was awesome. I still have a lot of these blogs to go and I still have to do the book part. I'll get it done though. I just have to sit down and do it.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cool that you went to New York. I've always wanted to go but my family doesn't like traveling and if I do its to California with my dad to visit family. I've always wanted to go to Central Park because I love walking and I feel like it would be a great environment to be in. I would love to go in the fall because it's supposed to be very beautiful. I'm happy for you.
