Tuesday I didn't have to work. My aunt came and saw us and had lunch with us before her and my cousin went to Florida for a softball tournament. Later that night the MLB All Star Game was on. I sat and watched the whole entire thing. It was probably the best All Star Game in recent years. The teams went back and forth for the lead. Aaron Judge started it all off with a home run to left field. Then Mike Trout followed up with a home run of his own the next inning. After that it got crazier. The NL tied the game and then Jean Segura who plays for the Seattle Mariners hit a 3 run home run late in the game to give the AL a 3 run cushion. The NL fought back though and tied the game with Scooter Gennett's big home run. It still wasn't over though. It kept going back and forth. The game went into extra innings. Alex Bregman of the Astros hit a go ahead solo home run to untie the game in the top of the 10th. Then his teammate George Springer followed him and those two hit back to back home runs. Joey Votto led off the home half of the 10th with a solo home run. The final score was 8-6. The AL won. The most home runs ever hit in an All Star Game before Tuesday was 6. They crushed that number with a grand total of 10.

The All Star game was a blast. It was very fun to watch it and there were many stars including one of the best players of all time, Mike Trout. I wanted to National League to win but that wasn't the case. But besides the National League losing it was an interesting game and everybody had fun watching it. - zeke
ReplyDeleteThe home run derby was awesome. Bryce Harper is the G.O.A.T. The guy can rake dude. He'll get into the Hall of Fame when after he retires no doubt in mind that he will. The All Star game was great too. Extra inning "dub" for the A.L. All in all, All star weekend was great. I hope the Rangers have a better year next year dude.
