blog #7 -- carmen c. // Living For Yourself and No One Else.

So this blog is going to be a little more serious just because this summer has been eyeopening experience and such a blessing. First thing i want to say is that every summer I believe we all go through something that transform us into a "new" person, or gives us a new perspective on things. As we go day by day people will always try to correct you and chose a way for you to live. Some people do these things because either, they have nothing better to do with their lives or because they want to see you fail. When people want to change you, and by change I mean the destructive criticism, they're trying to push you to a point in your life where you think that the way YOU'RE living is not the correct way. As if there was any correct way to live?? And of course there are certain ways we should and should not act but as teenagers we are going o make mistakes and if we don't make them now then imagine the consequences when you're 21 and older. So as we grow in the summer time and throughout the year we have to realize who WE are and not what people want us to be, because the most important thing in life is being YOU and a genuine YOU. No one likes when someone is fake to them, even though we're all fake at on point, whether it is major or minor, you have to find that fine line and not cross it. And if you do cross it you have to except what you have done and apologize. Of course is it the other persons choice to forgive or not, but that's what another blog is for.

So I only have 295 words right now so im just going to tell yall what my plan is for the rest of the summer. As some of yall may know i applied for Sonic but they're not hiring so, im going to try to get a job for some muhlah, but also there is a Luke Combs concerts the 27th that im going to with Autumn, Ashlynn, and Melanie so im super excited for that.

Well that's 371 words so peace out homies. xoxo.

  1. I agree with you when you say every summer changes you. Everybody has something that happens to them that changes their perspective on everything and its usually for the body. I agree that the most important thing is ourselves but we also have to be willing to help each other and to be aware of other peoples situation and being helping. I'm happy your summers been good. - Zeke

  2. Carmen, I really like this post. I believe there is really no correct way to live your life. The only person who can really decide that is you, not someone else. No one should have to change themselves because of someone else’s opinion. People are honestly their best selves when they are their most genuine. (That seems like an odd worded sentence, but you get my point.) You are right in that people always seem to change after the summer, and I believe it is just because we are all getting older and starting to slowly realize the type of person we want to be, who we want to be.
