Traveling - Melanie Cheesman 8
If you guys haven’t noticed, I love traveling; I’ve been to 25 states. I have a trip planned for next summer to go to three different countries: Ireland, Scotland, and England. I love to travel because it’s really cool to see all of the different cultures in our country and world. For example, since Texas is so close to the Mexican border, there’s a lot of Mexican people who live there and there are more authentic Mexican restaurants. It is also neat to see the different climates in the United States. Like Colorado and Wisconsin are both really cold, especially in the winter. My family and I have relatives that live in Colorado, so we will go up there and snow ski and snowboard. There’s also a ton of different hobbies in each state. For example, in Tennessee and Kentucky, white water rafting is popular, but floating on the river is popular in Arkansas and Missouri. Another example of this is that a popular northern sport is hockey, but we rarely see schools in the south with a hockey team. There’s even different beaches in different states; in Florida or Alabama, the beaches have white and yellow sand and South Carolina has grey sand. When I go to England, I’m going to be in love with the British accents, and I would be the same way in Australia. I hope that I one day go to India and Mexico because they have different customs that are interesting to me. On my trip, I’m supposed to take a boat ride through Wales, and I am so excited to see all of the landscape because Ireland is very green and the water in Wales is very clear. Another reason I love to travel is because you get to meet people. When I go to Alabama to the beach, I always end up making friends from other states. Even the trip to other places is amazing. Going down some road, you see trees and lakes and rivers, and it is beautiful. I plan on going to every state in the United States and as many countries as possible.

Woah. That's really cool to have been to 25 states already. I've always thought It would be fun to travel, but I haven't gotten very far. My best friend, Carrah (she used to go to school here) has been to every state in the US that starts with an A. She lives in Alaska now and came down to visit a couple of weeks ago. Anyways, I think it's really cool that you've been to so many places! I've only been to, I'm pretty sure, less than ten states. Lol. Most of which we just passed on our way to another one. The furthest I've been is to is San Diego, California. I hope you have fun on your trip next summer! I can't imagine going to a different country, but I'm sure you'll have fun! And safe travels!

Gah lee.. 25 states? I’ve been to like 3 or 4. Everyone makes fun of me because I’ve never been to the beach but I just don’t see the point. I mean go sit in hotel or sit on the ground I can do that for free in caraway lol. But I’ve been to like Arkansas and like Tennessee Missouri and I think that’s it maybe Mississippi. But anyways traveling seems fun, I’d like to go to mud nationals. It’s this big mud event. There’s always one in Texas and one up north I think Colorado.

DeleteI love to travel. I have been quite a lot of places as well but I have never been to 25 states. I have been to quite a few but definitely not that many. That's literally half of the country now that I think about it. I would love to go on a long road trip around the country some day because I think that would be amazing. I would also really love to be able to travel the world someday and go to a whole lot of different countries because that would be amazing. It would be amazing to see all the different cultures and places and how they are different from each other and how they are different from where we are. There's so many places that I would love to go in my lifetime. -Ally P
