Milk shakes--Jo Baker- #20

One of my favorite sweets is milk shakes. I like them because when you go to get one or make one their are so many different flavors and types you can choose from. Plus they're an amazing treat for when it's hot outside or you're just craving something sweet. So I decided to write some down and the recipes to them. I hope you enjoy.
  •  Vanilla: Blend one pint of vanilla ice cream, one fourth a cup of milk, and one teaspoon of vanilla and a dash of salt.
  • Toasted Marshmallow: Bake eight marshmallows on tin foil, revolving, until browned. Make a Vanilla Milkshakes and add six of the browned marshmallows. Then, top off the milkshake with the remaining marshmallows.
    •  S’mores: Bake eight marshmallows on tin foil, revolving, until browned. Blend one pint of chocolate ice cream, one fourth cup of milk, one teaspoon of vanilla, and a dash of salt and six of the already toasted marshmallows. Top off the shake with smashed graham crackers and the left over toasted marshmallows
    • Fig and Port: Slowly boil one cup port and one third of a cup of chopped dried figs until the liquid is thickened by half; cool, then blend with one tablespoon of port. Make one Vanilla Milkshakes and  layer in glasses with the port mixture.
    • Strawberry: Blend one pint of strawberry ice cream, then one cup of strawberries and one fourth a cup of milk.
    • Mixed Berry: Make a Strawberry Milkshake, replace the strawberries with a half cup of raspberries and blueberries. Fairly simple. Or add the raspberries and blueberries to the strawberries.
    • Strawberry-Rhubarb: low (slowly) boil one and a half cups of sliced rhubarb, two tablespoons of sugar, two tablespoons of water, and one fourth a teaspoon of orange zest until soft; then cool. Blend with a half a cup of milk and one pint of strawberry ice cream.

I was really happy with all the recipes for milkshakes that I found. This is only a select few that I found that I thought sounded good. If anybody decided to test out their milkshake skills I hope it turns out well. And I hope they taste good and satisfying. Have fun with them!
