SoG: The Witcher Chapter 1 Part 2 - Gabe Poe #12

Geralt returns to the leader and tells him that he finished the missions, after they talk the leader tells Geralt to kill a witch that lives in the Outskirts because he believes that she caused the Hound to appear. While Geralt is trying to find the witch he discovers that the Salamandra have a post in the Outskirts. He finds the abandoned house that they had been using as their secret base and fought all of the goons in the house but didn’t find the leader. While searching the house he found a hidden ladder leading down into a cave. Inside the cave he found the leader who had captured the witch believing that she was the controller of the Hound. Geralt enters the room and defeats the Salamandra leader and more of his goons. He talks to the witch, who tells him that the Hound is there because of the bad things that the humans had done in the Outskirts. She explains that the church leader and the three people you helped where the main contributors to the problem. Geralt hears a mob forming at an entrance to the cave. The witch asks Geralt to help her escape the mob and he says that he will try talking to them. He exits the cave and the citizens led by the church leader and two of the three people you helped. You tell them what the witch told you about their bad deeds are causing the Hound to appear. They begin creating excuses that blame the witch for everything that they had done. Geralt argues with them until things get out of hand and he threatens the church leader and they finally let him and the witch pass. While walking away from the mob the houses around them begin to catch fire and the Hound appears with other weaker dog monsters. Geralt then fights and kills the Hound; in the aftermath of the fight the church leader thinks that he would be able to take Geralt in his weakened state. Him and a few other citizens attack Geralt and are killed by him in a fight. Geralt then takes the pass to get into town off of the body of the church leader and goes to enter the city. When the gate to the city opens, guards from the city come out and arrest him. This ends the first chapter.
