SoG: Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare (CoD4) Part 1 - Gabe Poe #10

Another game I decided to play was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The game follows two military groups: The US Marines and the British SAS (Special Air Service). During the game you play as John "Soap" MacTavish and Paul Jackson. The game starts with a team of British SAS, codename Bravo Team, led by Captain John Price receiving a new recruit to their team, Sgt. John "Soap" MacTavish. In the prologue you play as Soap going through his final tests to become a member of Bravo Team. The game uses this as a tutorial for the game. It teaches the person playing it what controls are used and the basics of the game. After the game teaches you the conrols on a shooting range, you go into a simulation in which you have to follow commands and free a hostage. The simulation tells you which difficulty you should play the game on. You choose your difficulty setting and are sent on your first mission for SAS. Your mission is to infiltrate an Estonian freighter to look for a suspected nuclear package. You board the ship and find the nuclear device, not without opposition from a group employed to protect the nuclear device. When they discover the area that the bomb is being held in (on the lower deck), a radio message comes in saying that attack helicopters are inbound on the freighter. The helicopters decide to fire on the ship to kill Bravo Team and destroy all evidence of the nuclear device. Bravo team finds the manifest stating where the nuclear device has traveled through and who owns it. The team makes a run for the upper deck of the ship and Bravo Team begins to enter the helicopter that they were drop in. Soap has to jump to make it onto the helicopter and be saved. While they are studying the manifest it points to the owner of the nuclear device being Al-Asad a terrorist leading the revolution in a middle eastern country. After the ship mission, a long cut scene (showing the opening credits), during the cut scene the president of the country is seen being transferred to an unknown location. When he arrives he is executed by Al-Asad, finishing the revolution.
