After 1st Force Recon calls in the air
support and defeats the enemy troops they have an engineer group come in and
fix the tank. Once the engineers get done fixing the tank 1st Force
Recon is asked to accompany the tank and protect it from enemy foot troops.
While leading the tank through the streets of the town they guide it to enemy
tanks, which they destroy using the tanks main canon and other methods
(weakening the enemies fire power). The leader of the team splits it in to two
groups at one point, one to hold an area and the other to finish the mission
(leading the tank to the highway). Both groups do their part and they
rendezvous at an LZ and are extracted. They are then redeployed to the capital
city where they believe Al-Asad has retreated to. They go to save another recon
team and hear that Al-Asad has a nuclear device in the area. They rush to
escape the blast area, but one of the escort helicopters is shot down and the
pilot survives the crash. 1st Force Recon decides to go back and
help the pilot, they touch down and pick up the crashed pilot and return to the
helicopter. They take off and rush for the safe zone, unfortunately they are
unable to get to the safe zone because of the time they used rescuing the crash
pilot. The nuclear blast causes their helicopter to crash and Paul Jackson dies
of injuries. The casualties of the nuclear blast include thousands of civilians
and 30,000 US servicemen. The perspective returns to Bravo Team who have
received information that Al-Asad might be at his safe house in Azerbaijan.
Bravo Team goes there and clears many houses on a hillside village looking for
Al-Asad, they eventually find him in one of the houses. Price then interrogates
him and Al-Asad reveals that the nuclear devices did not belong to him, but to
an Ultranationalist leader, Zakhaev (the true main villain of the video game).
Price then executes Al-Asad.
