SoG: The Witcher Chapter 2 Part 4 - Gabe Poe #17

Geralt decide to tell the mage still pretending to be the detective about the tower, which is supposed to have amazing treasures in it, hoping to trick him into going there so that he can attack him. The mage tells Geralt that he will go there with him to help him get the treasure. The mage then gives Geralt one of the seven objects he had to find, the mage told him that he didn’t know what it was for but that he hoped it would help. Geralt goes and has to place the seven object he found on seven different pedestals around the swamp in order to get the tower door to open. But, he has only found six of the objects. He goes back to the alchemist and asks him about the last object. The alchemist tells him that the last object can only be found by defeating the golem that use to guard the tower, the only problem was the golem was in stasis and he could only be awoken by being struck by lightning. The alchemist tells him to go to the knight armorer and have him make a lightning rod. Geralt does and the knight armorer does for a fee. The alchemist then tells him to talk to the druids of the swamp. Geralt goes to the swamp and before he reaches the druids he sees his friend, the knight from the sewer. He is wounded and asks Geralt to lead his troops against a group of elves that are trying to revolt against the king. Geralt agrees and defeats the elves. Geralt then goes to the druids and asks for help creating a storm so he can harness the lightning. They agree to if he helps then with a request, they need him to fight off a group of Salamandra goons that have been harassing them. Geralt agrees and defeats the goons. They create a storm and Geralt goes to fight the golem. He sticks the lightning rod into the golem and lightning strikes it bring it back to life. Geralt then fights the golem and defeats it, giving him the last object. He puts all the objects on their respective pedestal and talks to the detective/mage again telling him to meet him at the mages tower. They meet at the tower and Geralt reveals that he knows that the mage killed the detective and took his place. The mage stops using his illusion magic and the two are about to fight when the Professor teleports to the mages side. Geralt then has to fight them both, and when they get to low health they do one final attack on Geralt hoping to kill him. They then teleport away from him, but they only knocked him out. While he was knocked out the knights and the elves had another big fight that killed many humans and elves. The humans were the winners of the battle but did not have a good victory for they lost many troops. This ends the second chapter.
