The lake!!: Haven Robertson

  There are a lot of people who would choose the beach over going to the lake. I am the opposite. Going to the lake has always been my favorite part about summer. Summer is coming to an end and so have the lake trips. Everyone in my family shares a trailer at Lake Norfork. The trailer can get a little crowded sometimes when my whole family is there but we always have a good time. We all go to the lake just about every weekend. We usually will leave on a Thursday of Friday and will stay until Sunday. One of the best times to go to the lake is the 4th of July weekend, even though it gets very crowded. On the night before the 4th, there are fireworks on the lake around 9. It is always very beautiful and a great experience.
  On any other lake trip, we would go out on the lake around 11 or 12 and won't go back in until 7 at night. There are so many things that I love about the lake. The first thing is just getting to spend time with my family and friends on the lake all day. Nothing can beat that. Secondly is tubing. When I was younger, I hated tubing because I always thought that we would flip and I would hurt myself. But now, I ride every time I go to the lake. It is so exciting to ride because you can see the waves coming and you just have to sit there and take it but that is the fun part lol! It's also fun to jump off of the cliffs. It can be very scary but you just have to jump and get it over with.
  As you can see, I love going to the lake and always will. Most people like going the beach and laying out in the sand but I would rather lay out on a pontoon and ride the tube. I cannot wait until I get to go back to the lake next summer!
